ABOUT ABOUT

‘A Symphonic Odyssey’ takes the audience to back to Europe from the early 1840s through to Russia in the late 1930s. We’ll be featuring the works of composers who were Italian, German, Russian, Czech, and Norwegian during a time of social change, wars and revolutions in Europe. Many of these composers are famous for their operas such as Verdi, while others such as Dvorak and Shostakovich are prominent name in the world of classical music. One definition of an odyssey is an intellectual or spiritual wandering or quest – we like to think of this program as our pursuit to document a turbulent, game-changing time in history!

Please note: there are fewer seats at this venue than at prior concerts this year. We have sold out or have been heavily attended, for which we are grateful so we encourage you to purchase your tickets in advance. Thank you to our loyal and growing audience!
