ABOUT ABOUT

Masterworks Concert: Brahms, Schubert & Friends

We kick off our 2019-2020 concert season with a fine selection of pieces that focus on wind instruments and feature our talented brass and woodwind players.

The concert includes Brahms’ Academic Festival Overture, which he wrote as a tribute to the University of Breslau in recognition of the honorary degree bestowed upon him. It’s a lively piece that coveys both the academic and social side to university life!  We will be playing Schubert’s Symphony No. 8, which features flutes, oboes, clarinets, bassoons, trumpets and more. Broughton’s Tuba Concerto will be performed by Jason Harris and we will also play Hummel’s Trumpet Concerto, featuring Andrea Albritton on trumpet.

Please purchase your seat in advance. Not only is the online ticket price the best we have to offer, you can also make comfortable plans to enjoy the evening with friends at a pre-concert meal or post concert chat over cocktails with friends and you won't have to worry if seats will be available. We can't guarantee seats will be available at the door.

Our concert starts at 8. The box office check in will begin at 7:30. As always, all seating is general seating. Thank you for your support.

Restrictions

All tickets at the door are $27.50.
